Meet the Team - Aimee
Aimee joins Sunshine as our newest Social Media Executive, joining us from working client-side in the beauty sector, and having graduated with a BA (Hons) in Communications, Advertising and Public Relations from Edinburgh Napier University in 2014.
Aimee is part of the Creative team at Sunshine, and produces content that we use for client’s social media. She also helps with Edinburgh Airport’s community management, and helps produce compelling content for Sunshine’s own social – you’ll be hearing from her on the blog regularly!
What’s your favourite thing about working at Sunshine Communications?
Definitely the people. I’ve only worked here for just over a month but it feels like it’s been forever. Everyone in the team has been so welcoming and there’s such a passionate and upbeat vibe within Sunshine. It’s a lovely working environment and this transfers into the work that’s produced. Everyone works hard but has fun doing it!
What’s your favourite quote?
“If you're not having fun, you're doing something wrong.” ― Groucho Marx
I’ve always loved this quote after watching the Marx Brothers with my Grandpa from a young age. I like to apply this way of thinking to all aspects of life, including work!
What’s your favourite social media platform?
Twitter, although Snapchat is a close second! I think there’s something great in being able to create a powerful, funny or captivating piece of content in only 140 characters. I love that it enables me to engage with anybody across the world, as you’re not restricted by the fact you’re not connected.
When I’m not working you’ll find me….
Like most people I spend most of my free time with family and friends (this includes Netflix – binge watching TV shows & documentaries takes up approx. 99% of my free time). I also love heading to my girl gang hang out in Glasgow, NAF! Salon, for all my beauty needs! #staysassy
Where would be at the top of your bucketlist…
I’ve been really lucky to have already ticked off a lot of my bucket list destinations but I've never gotten around to checking out Australia so I think that would be next up! I’m also not long home from Barbados, which was amazing, so I’m keen on checking out a few more of the Caribbean islands. It’s actually really hard to choose, I could go on forever! I’d pretty much love to visit anywhere I’ve never been.
