Now let’s dive deeper into Ugne Zoe’s world..
What’s your favourite thing about working at Sunshine Communications?
Cosiness and comfortable working environment. This encompasses many things - from a cosy office (those fab chairs) to communicative, friendly team. I feel happy to come to work every morning and I believe that says a lot about the working environment.
Also, I feel fulfilled as a designer, as I get to work on a variety of projects. In addition to that, I have a lot of creative freedom, which is dope.
What’s your favourite quote?
“The power of design is the receptiveness that can contain the diversity of human ideas.”Kenya Hara
I came across this quote during my final year of university when I was creating a sustainable clothing brand. I admire Kenya Hara as a designer and a wise man in general. I love minimalism and emptiness in various types of design from graphics to interiors.
What’s your favourite social media platform?
I N S T A G R A M ! I’m a visual person and Instagram is great for finding and admiring mini galleries of choice. I also feel happy to share my own pictures there and connect with people who appreciate similar things.
When I’m not working you’ll find me….
Purposely getting lost in Edinburgh with the aim to discover new places, little lanes and some great compositions for my photos.
You are also highly likely to find me reading one of Murakami books or raving with friends to the best electronic music we find!
Where would be at the top of your bucketlist…
It’s definitely a place in Nevada called Black Rock City, which is a temporary city in Black Rock Desert erected annually for the legendary Burning Man festival or as they call it - a vibrant participatory metropolis. Burning Man is a network of people inspired by the values reflected in the Ten Principles and united in the pursuit of a more creative and connected existence in the world. The Burning Man is like a fantasy world with magnificent installations, music and people wearing the weirdest costumes. Check the images, it is stunning.
